While I’m no miracle worker, I do love to smile and few things make me happier than capturing the smiles of others with my camera. My mission is to capture those timeless, impactful, unexpected moments that challenge what is considered typical in this world. I’ve always been a creative soul and while studying to obtain my BA in Fine Arts at Fresno State University, I mainly used a pen and pencil to bring my visions to life through hand drawings.
After receiving my B.A. degree in Fine Arts from Fresno State University, my interest evolved into digital arts. Venturing into photography was a natural progression, as it provides an ideal intersection for people, art, and creativity. The process of taking the perfect photograph is an artistic one. Add in the elements of a naturally beautiful environment…and amazing things happen.
“As I listened to their stories, sat and communed with them, and sought their permission to document and highlight their individual circumstances, my heart captured what my lens couldn’t. Between the tragic loss of loved ones, joblessness, drugs and mental health, homelessness sorely impacts lives of the homeless but everyone around them.” – – Karim Saafir
